The section of road has a weight restriction to ban heavy goods vehicles.
Residents say they have been promised traffic calming measures and a width restriction for several years at the entrance to the narrow section.
Police attended the scene on Wednesday lunchtime.
Two local HGV drivers managed to free the vehicle and turn it round.
