A man's due in court Exeter today charged with murdering his mother.
Twenty seven year old Alex McDonald was arrested in Tiverton last week after a car crashed into a house on Old Road.
The body of his mother Catherine was later found at her home in Norton Fitzwarren near Taunton - she'd been stabbed and suffocated.
Alex McDonald appeared before Taunton Deane magistrates last week and was remanded in custody prior to today's court hearing.
