It happened in Kingsteignton
Fire crews have shared details of the incident at 2.45pm this afternoon (Thursday 18th July).
Two appliances from Newton Abbot were sent to the scene on Lindridge Hill to reports a man had his leg stuck in grass cutting equipment.
When they arrived, ambulance crews were already attempting to release him.
Fire crews used cutting equipment and small tools. He was then airlifted to hospital.
