A 30 year old man will appear in court today charged with murdering his mother in Exmouth.
Andrew Cane was arrested in Gloucester over the weekend.
The body of 63-year old Linda Sheard was found in the Brixington area of Exmouth last Wednesday.
Thirty officers from Devon and Cornwall Police have been involved in the investigation.
