A man has been charged with attempted robbery following an incident at a Post Office in Torquay.
Officers were called to Chelston Post Office in Walnut Road at 7.40am on Wednesday 11 June after reports of an incident.
Leon Hippolyte, aged 38, of Rathmore Road, Torquay, is appearing at Plymouth Magistrates Court charged with attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
