A man had to be freed from his car last night, after emergency services were called to reports of a collision near Crediton.
It happened on the A377 near Spence Combe and fire crews from Crediton and Middlemoor helped to free the casualty using specialist cutting gear.
Reports suggest that the car collided with a telegraph pole and then rolled over.
The man was taken to hospital with serious head and leg injuries.
