An 82-year-old man has died after his car hit a tree on the A373 at Stoneyford near Cullompton yesterday (Thursday 26th October)
The driver, from the Cullompton area, was helped by members of the public and an off duty paramedic before emergency services arrived. Sadly, the man died at the scene.
The A373 was closed for three-and-a-half hours while officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team, along with a specialist collision investigator and a scenes of crime officer, tried to work out what happened.
