It happened at around 5.45pm on Sunday (1st July)
Police were called to St David's Hill to reports a man was lying injured in the road.
Paramedics were called but the 48 year old died at the scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner. His next of kin have been told.
