A 79-year-old died nine days later
An elderly rider of a mobility scooter has died after a collision with a car in Torquay.
The incident took place at the Newton Road junction with Shiphay Lane at 9.15am on Wednesday 28 August and the collision involved a silver Citroen C3 and a mobility scooter.
Devon and Cornwall Police said a 79-year-old local man was taken to Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital with injuries thought to be life-threatening.
He has since died as a result of injuries sustained during the collision. His next of kin are aware.
