Four other casualties on A386
A man has died in a three-vehicle crash in North Devon.
A white Peugeot, a silver Renault and a heavy goods vehicle were involved in the incident on the A386 at Landcross near Bideford on Friday morning.
The driver of the Peugeot, a 52 year old local male, had to be rescued from his car by the fire crews. Although CPR was administered he was pronounced dead at scene. Paramedics treated four other casualties.
Two fire appliances from Bideford, one from Torrington and the heavy rescue vehicle from Middlemoor, Exeter headed to the incident, just before 11am. although the heavy rescue vehicle was stood down before it arrived.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision or the vehicles before the collision or have dash camera footage.
