A man's in a critical condition after falling from a car at Westpoint near Exeter last night.
Police are trying to establish whether the vehicle involved was a taxi.
The man, aged 49 and from Somerset, had been at an event at Westpoint when he got into a black people-carrier with a sliding side door.
The vehicle drove off with the door still open and the man fell out, suffering serious head injuries.
Police want to trace the vehicle and the driver, who was in his 50s with a small to medium build, and was wearing a black suit type jacket.
