A member of the European Parliament is warning that the high standards of Devon's farm produce could be threatened by a trade deal currently being negotiated between the EU and the United States.
The Green MEP, Molly Scott Cato, says the agreement could open up Europe's markets to produce from the US where food hygiene and animal welfare standards are lower.
She's concerned that farmers trying to compete with them on price could end up lowering their own too.
