There's been a big increase in people turning to Exeter citizens advice bureau with money problems.
During the current financial year it's seen a nine per cent rise in the number of debt problems being reported, and a 13 per cent increase in demand for advice on welfare benefits.
And many more people are expected to need help when changes to council tax support, and the benefits system, take effect this year.
