40-year-old man attacked in city centre passes away after nine days
A murder enquiry's underway in Exeter nine days after a man was attacked in the High Street.
The 40 year-old victim hasn't been named. He'd been critically ill in hospital since being beaten up outside the Tesco store near the junction with Gandy Street a week last Saturday around 11 o'clock in the evening. After initially being taken to the RD&E, he was transferred to Derriford Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
31 year-old Guy Pottle from Beacon Heath's already been charged with grevious bodily harm in relation to the incident.
The High Street was busy at that time of night, and police want witnesses. Please call 101 and quote reference number CR/058219/18
