Seabirds covered in a mystery waxy substance are being washed up on the south Devon coast. .
There have been reports of the stricken birds - mainly dead or dying - turning up in various locations along the coast from Weymouth to Cornwall, including Teignmouth and Dawlish.
The substance prevents the birds from cleaning or waterproofing themselves and the RSPCA say even after treatment, few are surviving.
