An Exeter group collecting clothes and tents for migrants stranded in Calais have been amazed by the response from local residents.
The Exeter Refugees Solidarity Group are taking donations at the Friends' Meeting House until 4pm this afternoon.
In the first two hours hundreds of people brought bags of clothing, camping equipments, blankets and other items, and £400 was collected in cash donations.The items will be taken to France for distribution later this month.
