Rider arrested on suspicion of drug-driving
A pedestrian is seriously hurt in hospital after being hit by a motorbike in Horrabridge in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The man, who is in his fifties, was walking in Walkhampton Road in the village on the western edge of Dartmoor, when the collision occurred at around 1.20am.
The road was for about an hour and a half for emergency services to do their work.
A 30-year-old man from Tavistock was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, causing injury by dangerous driving, and grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has been released on police bail, to return on Tuesday 23 April, pending further enquiries.
