A large solar power farm near Broadclyst IS to go ahead - after councillors visited the site.
Members of East Devon district council's planning committee went to see the location yesterday afternoon.
They decided to grant planning permission, provided the extensive landscaping and planting offered by the applicant would be carried out, to minimise the solar farm's visual impact.
