A Devon and Cornwall Police sergeant has been sacked after engaging in sexual activity in a public place - on duty.
The act was witnessed by a member of the public - and at a disciplinary hearing he admitted gross misconduct. He was dismissed without notice.
Assistant Chief Constable Russ Middleton says it expects the highest standards of professional behaviour and this sergeant’s behaviour didn't match their values.
