It's been revealed more than 250 Devon and Cornwall police officers have been trained in recognising stalking.
The need for better training was acknowledged after the case of Exeter stalker victim Helen Pearson - she'd reported 125 incidents to police but they didn't take action until her stalker tried to kill her.
But afterwards the organisation, Paladin, which helps victims, arranged a series of training sessions.
