The so-called Orange Army who worked round the clock to repair Dawlish's storm damaged railway line earlier this year have been recognised with an award of the Brunel Medal from the Institution of Civil Engineers.
After the railway line was left hanging in mid-air when the sea wall collapsed, the civil engineers worked non-stop to get trains running again just eight weeks later.
Their efforts were praised as 'Herculean' by David Cameron.
