Radio Exe listening reaches highest level ever

It's up a third in a year

Devon’s Radio Exe is more popular than ever according to independent audience figures published today.

Total listening to the station has risen by a third in the past year, to its highest level since the station launched in 2012.

Around 80,000 people choose Radio Exe every month - a figure that doesn't even include unmeasured areas like Plymouth, West, and North Devon.

According to independent research by Rajar/Ispsos/MORI for the calendar year 2025, the average listener tunes in for around eight and a half hours a week, with the biggest audience at 8am on weekdays.

The audience is measured in Exeter, Mid and East Devon, Teignbridge and Torbay. Listeners in the rest of the county are not included in the research.

Broadcasting from studios in Exeter, Radio Exe is one of the few independent commercial radio stations in the UK.
