MattMas plays merry song mercilessly
Radio Exe breakfast presenter Matt Rogers has launched his own radio station - and it plays just one song!
The festive fanatic has Radio MattMas on air in response to demand for a new track ‘Matt’s Christmas Countdown’. It has proved so popular with Radio Exe listeners, that people in Devon can now hear it any time.
Available on three DAB digital radio networks, Radio MattMas broadcasts across much of the county, covering around half a million people.
Avid Radio Exe listener Dave Harrison from Bickington wrote a dedicated festive song specially for presenter Matt Rogers whose breakfast show is famously Christmas-oriented 12 months a year. Mr Harrison used AI to create the melody, arrange instruments and complete the mix and balance at home.
He said: “I’ve been listening to Matt for many years and knew he loved Christmas. I made it as a celebtation of Christmas and Matt’s breakfast shows, and it’s thrilling it now has its own radio station. I just want the Radio MattMas audience to enjoy it.”
Matt definitely enjoys it. “What a treat to have both my own Christmas song and now my own Christmas radio station to play it on. I predict it could be the Christmas number one (hundred thousand).
