Rail travellers on the main line between Exeter and London face delays and disruption - as a 15 million pound repair programme takes place.
It starts on Saturday and will mean the track's closed between Tiverton and Taunton until February 10th.
Network Rail needs to renew three miles of track and re-lay seven units of switches and crossings, to enable trains to travel at 80 miles an hour.
Trains will be replaced by bus services between the two stations, adding about an hour to journey times.
