The annual Ottery St. Mary Tar Barrels takes places this evening, and is expected to attract around 15,000 visitors to the town.
The event inolves passing flaming barrels of tar overhead, so safety is considered paramount.
The Tar Barrels Committee is reminding visitors to be mindful of their own safety and follow the advice given by marshals on the night.
