Exeter Chiefs and England number 8 Simmonds, who scored two tries on his Six Nations debut for England against Italy, picked up a shoulder injury in the victory over Wales last weekend that has rule him out for a short time.
Eddie Jones, head coach for England rugby team, confirmed he will miss the next two home games but will "hopefully" be fit to face Ireland. In the absence of inform Simmonds, Wasps' Nathan Hughes will take his place.
