Two air ambulances deployed
Two air ambulances have rushed casualties to hospital following a three-vehicle crash on the A361 North Devon Link Road on Wednesday evening.
The crash near the Landkey junction for South Molton around 5pm closed the major route in both directions for some hours.
Two fire engines from South Molton, one from Barnstaple and a heavy rescue unit from Middlemoor, Exeter were despatched to the scene along with the services of Devon Air Ambulance.
Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to extract one person trapped in their vehicle. One other person was outside theirs. One of the vehicles had left the road.
