An actor from Sidmouth has won a prestigious international award.
Twenty six year old Alex Sharp has been named best actor in a play at the Tony theatre awards in New York for his role in The curious incident of the dog in the night time".
Alex studied at Sidmouth College and performed with the town's youth theatre. He dedicated his award to young people, who stand out.
