A South Devon man's been charged by detectives investigating a suspicious item found on the London Underground.
19 year old Damon Smith, from Newton abbot, is currently living in South-East London and will appear in court this morning charged with making or possessing an explosive substance.
A controlled explosion was carried out at North Greenwich station last week.
Following a search by police at a property in Tudor Road in Newton Abbot last weekend another suspicious object was uncovered.
Nearby properties had to be evacuated whilst it was investigated, but the device was found to not be viable.
