Storm Callum cancels Exeter flights

People will be trapped in Devon on Friday morning!

Flybe has cancelled flights out of Exeter and Newquay airports on Friday morning up till 11am.

It's because Storm Callum is set to bring high winds and heavy rain into the south west.

The 7 am Exeter to Alicante fight will go later, but not until a rearranged departure time of 1 pm.

Other passengers are advised not to travel to the airport.

Flybe says: "The safety of its passengers and crew is our number one priority and Flybe will, as always, do everything possible to minimise any disruption. Customers are asked to continue to check the airline’s ‘live’ flight information for the latest updates - www.flybe.com/flight-info

Passengers whose flight has been cancelled can:

  • Rebook travel on an alternative flight to the destination at the earliest available opportunity.
  • A refund for any part(s) of the journey not taken.

For bookings originally made via flybe.com, an online tool allows customers to amend bookings within 7 days, or to claim a refund if a flight has been cancelled.

Incoming flights to Exeter Airport are also subject to cancellation or change throughout Friday. The first flight due to land in the 6pm service from Jersey and Guernsey (this information is correct as at Thursday evening). The incoming Norwhich flight due at 2.35pm is now not expected until 8pm.

Exeter Airport's website is regularly refreshed with arrivals and departure information.
