There are plans to build more student flats on previously undeveloped fields on Exeter University's campus..
The site for the student flats is in part of East Park, which lies between the Hoopern Ponds and Pennsylvania Road.
Outline plans are to be submitted to the city council soon with a view to getting the flats built by the start of the academic year in 2019.
The university says accomodating more students on campus will reduce pressure on Exeter's housing stock.
A website providing more information will be launched at the end of this month and a two-day public exhibition will be held at the same time.
