Society fell short of Exeter University's standards
Exeter University has forced a student law club that hit the headlines earlier this year when it was at the centre of a racism scandal - to close.
Known as the Bracton Law Society, it had been established on the Streatham campus since the 1960s - and it was one of the university's biggest student clubs that helped students get jobs in leading law firms.
Some of the people involved in allegedly racist social media messages had job offers withdrawn.
Some students were subsequently expelled or suspended. Today the university's said the standards of Bracton Law Society fell below the values and standards they expect. A new law society's going to be formed to replace it.
