UPDATE: No longer being treated as crime
A man is under arrest on suspicion of murder after 60-year-old woman died at a property in Okehampton in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police and South West Ambulance were called to a house in Wonnacotts Road in the town where the female occupant was pronounced dead.
The circumstances of her death is unclear but the police are currently treating it as suspected murder.
A 64 year old man who is believed to be known to the victim has been arrested on suspicion of the offence.
UPDATE: SUNDAY 5pm. Police have released the man, saying after a thorough investigation, the matter is not being treated as a crime. The matter has been passed to the coroner.
