He reportedly jumped into the water and failed to surface
A teenage boy who died after being pulled from the canal in Exeter has been named.
Emergency services were called to Clapperbrook Lane East at around 4.35pm on Monday 5 May following concern for the welfare of a child who had jumped in the canal.
It was reported Delvin Musakwa, who was 13, failed to surface.
He was pulled from the water, before receiving first aid and being transferred to hospital in a serious condition, where he later died.

“They have asked that their privacy be respected as they come to terms with their devastating loss.”
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
