WATCH: Dartmoor expedition back after covid
Dartmoor is teaming with teenagers this weekend, as they hike 35, 45 or 55 miles on what until the pandemic was the annual Ten Tors expedition.
It means this year, rather than 2019, makes the sixtieth anniversary of the event.
Around 2,400 youngsters are taking part this year, with a further 300 joining in the Jubilee Challenge for young people with special physical or educational needs.
Most teams are from schools or organised groups in the south west.
The challenge, including overnight camping has to be completed by the teenagers as a team without help from adults.
Members of the armed services oversee the event.
