VIDEO: Residents can see relatives!
A Teignmouth care home is just one of 20 in the country to enable residents to see nominated relatives indoors during lockdown.
Summercourt Residential Home has the necessary testing equipment to allow people to see their loved ones. Each resident can have one relative or friend as a regular visitor.
Teignmouth's mayor Peter Williams, whose mother lives at Summercourt says the test is simple and there's nothing to be frightened about. A half an hour later Mr Williams was able to hold her hand for the first time in months.
And mum was thrilled too, not least because of the TV cameras! A short report from BBC Spotlight here.
