Some bookies have stopped taking bets on City manager Paul Tisdale taking over at Swindon Town.
It reignites speculation about his future. But earlier this week, Tisdale told Radio Exe that as the longest-serving football league manager, he's happy where he is, although at some point the club would tire of him - or he'd tire of the club. But that's not the case right now.
On Friday, City won a pre-season friendly against Salisbury one-nil.
The League Two season kicks off next Saturday, with the Grecians home to Bristol Rovers. QPR come back to St James Park in a Capital One cup match the following Tuesday.
