There are delays on the M5 northbound with two lanes closed and queueing traffic between junction 31 and 30 after a collison between a lorry and pedestrian.
A diversion in place Countess Wear through Countess Wear could see long delays to journeys through the City - and knock on effects to the A30.
There could also be more congestion when a sixty-strong motorcycle funeral convoy comes through the City between three and four o' clock.
Police and other emergency services are currently on the scene carrying out accident investigation work.
