Ken Cooper, 93, died following a collision
The family of Ken Cooper, who died following a collision with a vehicle in Newton Poppleford just before Christmas, have released a photo of him and a short tribute. Released through the police, Mr Cooper's family say: "He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to hospital at Exeter Wonford. Sadly, at 2 a.m. on 26 December, he passed away.
“He leaves behind his widow, Mary, and a large and loving family. We would respectfully ask that our privacy be respected at this very sad time. Details of the funeral will be announced at a later date.”
Mr Cooper was 93 and had lived in the East Devon village since 2000. The driver of a Ford Fiesta involved in the incident wasn't hurt.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact police on 101, quoting log 753 of 23 December 2020.
