Witness sought to horror crash
Two men have been killed and another seriously injured after a crash in a green Honda Civic at Pulworthy Cross near Hatherleigh on Wednesday night.
The 26 year-old driver from Jacobstowe and his front-seat passenger from from Hatherleigh died at the scene. Another 26-year-old from the town, who was in the back seat, was taken by Devon Air Ambulance to Derriford.
A second man in the back, who's from Okehampton, aged 29, went to the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital with minor injuries.
The road from Holsworthy to Hatherleigh was closed for eight hours whilst a forensic examination was conducted.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who saw a green Honda Civic travelling along the A3072 to contact them on 101, quoting log 0979 of 25 July.
