Two Plymouth men have been jailed for killing a man who they brutally attacked in the street while on a night out last year.
Cowin Fuoco-Fisher, 26, and James Caswell, 29, punched and kicked 50-year-old Stefan Shotton outside a pub – inflicting catastrophic injuries in the early hours of 28 May 2023.
Mr Shotton died in hospital nine days later.
Both denied joint-enterprise murder but Fuoco-Fisher was found guilty of murder by a jury following a three-week trial.
Caswell was found not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter.
Fuoco-Fisher of Stuart Road, was sentenced to life with a minimum of 16 years, while Caswell, of Tailyour Road, received an eight-year prison term with release possible after serving two-thirds, taking into account time on remand.
