But services restored quickly
Train services in Devon were suspended for a short time after a vehicle crashed into a railway bridge on Friday.
A spokesperson for Great Western Railway (GWR) said it happened around midday near Paignton.
The track was blocked, leading to delays and some cancellations to services between Newton Abbot and Paignton.
GWR confirmed train services returned to normal after about an hour.
It said: "Following a bridge strike at Paignton, it has been declared safe to run trains once again, so our service has now resumed."
