A flytipper has been caught and fined after a resident filmed him dumping rubbish in an Exeter residential street.
The man was seen putting old painting and decorating materials near some rubbish bins in School Road in St Thomas and then driving off.
But a local resident filmed the whole incident, and also captured the man's vehicle registration.
He gave the evidence to Exeter city council who traced the vehicle's owner and fined him 200 pounds.
The council is encourating other residents to report any incidents of fly-tipping and get photo or video evidence if possible - all reports are treated confidentially.
