Visitors to Exeter last year spent more than £86 million pounds during their stay in the city, a rise of 12% on 2014.
The city council have released visitor numbers for 2015 and they are up, thanks to events like the Rugby World Cup.
In a statement they say that international sporting events helped to raise the profile of the city nationally and internationally, making it a sporting and cultural destination.
