South West Water says average household bills are to fall by more than seven per cent in the 12 months from April this year.
It's because of the flat rate fifty-pound reduction domestic customers will receive this year, paid for by the Government.
The company has also announced a series of upgrades to water treatment plants, reservoirs and pipe networks.
It comes as elsewhere in the country, bills will rise by three and a half per cent - but that still makes them more than a hundred pounds lower than those in the south west.
