It's been revealed that Devon and Cornwall police have attended dozens of emergency calls to reports of witches and ghosts in the last three years.
Thirty-five reports citing mythical beasts or extra-terrestrial activity were made since 2010, with officers investigating 18.
The details were revealed in the response to a Freedom of Information request.
The police federation has called for a public debate to discuss priorities and the screening of calls.
