But researcher has more evidence of crime in Cornwall than Devon
It looks like road signs in Devon get shot less than those in Cornwall.
A former Royal Marine who's spent years studying gun crime has captured pictures of 27 road signs that have bullet wounds - and says there are so many in Cornwall, he calls it the 'shoot route'.
One hotel sign on Dartmoor though has been shot at chest level with a high velocity rifle - from a trajectory which put customers at risk. Other nearby signs in Devon had been attacked by shotguns.
