The Devon Wildlife Trust has begun monitoring the wild beaver population on the River Otter, now that they've been returned to their habitat after testing for disease.
The Trust will be visiting all farmers and landowners in the relevant area, to discuss any possible negative effects on the environment and how they could be managed.
Conservation manager Peter Burgess says they'll also be working to address the concerns of local anglers - as there's a perception that beavers affect the movements of fish.
