He pointed imitation weapon at people
A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence in Exeter in the early hours of last Saturday morning.
The suspect is thought to have walked with the fake weapon through parts of the city, pointing it at people through a window of one premises along the way, before getting into a car in Honiton Road.
Police are now asking motorists who were in Fore Street, Heavitree, East Wonford Hill, and Honiton Road if they saw anything suspicious between 3.25 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Saturday 12 March, or if they have dash cam footage.
Armed police units were sent to investigate and subsequently went to a property in the city where they arrested a man in his thirties and seized an air pistol.
He has been released on police bail until Tuesday 5 April.
