Collision near Dartmouth on Wednesday
A serious crash involving a car and a lorry near Dartmouth has left a young woman with life-changing injuries.
The driver of a DAF 18-tonne lorry has minor injuries, but the person at the wheel of a blue Ford Fiesta, a woman in her twenties is being treated at Derriford Hospital after being flown there by Devon Air Ambulance.
Fire crews from Dartmouth and Totnes along with a heavy rescue unit from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue's Middlemoor base helped at the scene, where the woman was trapped in her car.
The road was closed for six hours while an investigation was conducted and police have thanked the public for their patience.
Police are now asking for witnesses to the collision on the A3122 at Dartmouth on Wednesday around 9.30am, or anyone with dashcam footage before it, to get in touch on 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk quoting log 206 of 12 May.
